LOCAL NEWS: Boscombe regeneration plans progressing with Martha Covell at the helm

Progress is being made by Boscombe Strategic Towns Fund Board in their plans to submit a successful bid for up to £25 million in funding to help breathe new life into Boscombe and the surrounding areas.

After announcing their plans early in May this year, the board has been working on assembling everything they need to develop a plan worthy of a sizeable grant that could see major regeneration work being carried out in Boscombe.

Martha Covell, a Planning Consultant who co-runs ECA Architecture and Planning Practice, and who has previously worked for Boscombe and Pokesdown Neighbourhood Forum, has been brought in as Project Manager.

Further additions to the planning team are NEW Masterplanning, who have notable experience with development of towns and cities, and Hemingway Design, whose website boasts previous collaborations with John Lewis, The National Trust and Southbank Centre, among others.

The Towns Fund Board will be releasing an online survey in the next few weeks that will give residents in the BCP area the chance to review some of their ideas for the regeneration plan, and offer feedback that could help shape the final ‘Master Plan.’
