Dorset police are appealing for information about the discovery of suspected stolen fuel theft incident in Blandford.
The police are investigating a Land Rover Discovery that was believed to have been speeding on Bournemouth road. 28 fuel containers were found during a search of the car, alongside crow bars, bolt croppers and a fuel siphoning kit.
The incident occurred around 3am on Monday 27th April 2026 and a 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and driving offences. He is still in police custody.
Police Constable Megan Clark said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and would ask anyone who believes they had fuel stolen overnight in the nearby area to please come forward”.
