Mermaid tail sculptures are set to fill Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole with colour between 5th April and 1st June but can you spot them all?

Julia’s House children’s hospice and Wild in Art have collaborated to place 45 giant and 45 tiny mermaid tails on the ‘Tail Trail’.

The trail has been in the works for over a year, partnering with the business community and artists to make it happen. It will be free to the public and is sure to be a hit with adults and children alike,

All of the tails have been sponsored by businesses in support of Julia’s House. Each of the mermaids has been meticulously designed by one of many local, national and international artists.

‘Tiny tails’ will be put in local places of interest with nearly 40 of those painted by local schools.

Jon Workman, Chief Executive Officer for BH Live said, “We’re so excited for everyone to see the two fantastic pieces created by community artists, which BH Live has sponsored”

The trail will be supported by an app which allows people to collect sculptures and unlock rewards from sponsors. There’s also going to be trail maps available to pickup in Julia’s House shops.

Laura Maidment, Julia’s House Public Fundraising Manager says: “Importantly for us, it is raising vital funds to help us continue to provide our care, now and in the future.”

On the 14th and 15th of June All the tails will be displayed together at the Bournemouth International Centre for a finalé.
