Businesses in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are set to enjoy an extension to the Morebus Commuter Club until March 2026.
Morebus and BCP council have worked together to secure funding to keep the Commuter Club scheme going until the end of March 2026.
The scheme was started originally to reduce peoples carbon footprint by getting people out of their cars and onto the bus. It also gives employees of companies signed up an affordable way to travel to and from work without the headache of parking.
Commuter Club was originally set to be discontinued at the end of March 2025 but has had a reprieve for a further year. The scheme gives signed up businesses access to discounted bus travel for their employees for a relatively low annual fee. Since it started in September 2024 it has sold over 7000 Multi-trip bundles.
