With break dancing lining up at the Olympics for the first time ever at Paris 2024, a local dance studio recently gave local schools a taste of what to expect.

As part of their annual playground tour, Pavilion Dance South West took break dancing artists from Marso Riviere company with their T-Break performance to local Bournemouth schools. The artists performed a lively and entertaining show that included live drumming and lots of interactive dance.

Over 1000 children from local BCP schools attended the performance and took part in workshops, from Glenmoor and Winton Academies, St Edwards and Bourne Academy across 3 days.

The tour received lots of positive feedback from children and teachers alike who all loved it!  One student commented: “The drumming and dancing was insane! Please come again!” and a teacher from Glenmoor school suggested it may have been a unique experience for some students: “Thanks to Pavilion Dance for bringing this cultural opportunity to our students who may not get this opportunity normally.”
