A brand new festival specialising in seafood and music is coming to Poole this September. Over the weekend of the 16th and 17th of September, Poole Old Town and the Quay will be buzzing with life and music.

Following the cancellation of Poole Seafood Festival and Vintage on the Quay, this festival was created. Five local businesses have come together to build this festival, with funding from Poole BID and BCP Council. These businesses are City Cruises, The Customs House, The Poole Arms, Saint Tropez and Truly Scrumptious.

Over the weekend, there is a huge amount of things to do and see. To start, there’s around 24 musical acts performing over five stages from 12PM-4PM both days.

There’s also fisherman’s local produce stalls, a gift market, a drinks tombola (adults only)- where the funds go to charity and fun and interactive oyster trail.

The family oyster trail

This trail leads you through Poole Old Town and the Quay to find the creatively decorated oyster shells hidden. When you want to start the trail, head to Truly Scrumptious or Hennings to pick up your pack. Alongside this, there are other clues and puzzles to figure out. Once completed, return your sheets to either of the above establishments, make sure to do this before 5PM on Sunday the 17th for a chance to win.

Once handed in, you’ll be entered into a grand prize draw where you have the chance to win prizes such as:

  • an overnight stay and breakfast at the Hotel Du Vin
  • a family Jurassic cruise for 4 with City Cruises
  • a piece of Poole Pottery from Studio Poole
  • a sweet hamper from Truly Scrumptious

This fun-filled festival is free to attend and with so many activities for the whole family, you won’t want to miss it. Even local restaurants and pubs will be showing their support by having seafood specials on their menus all weekend.
