NEWS: Police looking for Citroen Picasso following Hit and Run

A collision on Sunday morning has left police on the lookout for a silver Citroen Picasso after it hit a motorcyclist and proceeded to flee the scene.

On Sunday morning at around 6:40 AM a man riding his silver motorbike was hit by someone driving a silver Citroen Xsara Picasso as they were driving on the southbound slip road from the A338 to the Cooper Dean Roundabout. 

The motorcyclist came off his bike in the collision and sustained some minor injuries but is mostly fine and assisted police with their enquiries of the incident. The Citroen fled the seen after the collision and is currently believed to have taken some damage to it’s front bumper, lights and wingmirror; police are searching for any sign of a vehicle matching the description in order to find the driver that was involved in the crash.

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in contact so they can investigate the incident further. Any information regarding a car matching the description of a silver Citroen Picasso that has sustained the damages listed under mysterious circumstances is also sought after by the police for investigation.
