Police are seeking any witnesses to the kidnap of a man walking along Walpole Road to come forward with any information.

At around 9:15 pm on Monday 12 July a red car pulled up along Walpole Road in Boscombe where two men got out, one reportedly armed with a screwdriver and the other allegedly armed with a knife, they approached a local man aged in his 30s who was walking with his girlfriend.

The man was forced into the vehicle by the two unknown men and driven to Palmerston Road’s Esso service station cashpoint, however the man was able to run away when they arrived.

Following leads of a red Vauxhall Corsa spotted on St Clements Road, police arrested a local 45-year old man and a 39-year old man from London, both suspected to be involved in the kidnap and robbery.

Both men have been released on bail as detectives continue their enquiries and investigation. The police are asking those with dashcams who were in the area at the time or anyone who witnessed the incident to get in contact.
