A search is underway in Purbeck for a man in his 20s from London who went missing after going swimming at Durdle Door.
Police received a report that the man was missing on Sunday 21 June 2020 at around 5.47pm. He had gone swimming with two other people but began experiencing difficulties and did not return to the shore.
The Coastguard carried out a thorough search yesterday to try to find the man, with the assistance of Dorset Police, the RNLI and the ambulance service but so far he has not been found.
Chief Inspector Stu Pitman of Dorset Police said:“Searches are continuing today in the area to try and locate the missing man.
“I would urge anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to please get in touch.”
