LOCAL NEWS: Arrest Made in Connection With Bicycle Theft at RBH

A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of three bicycles over the course of two days last month outside Royal Bournemouth Hospital. 

On Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March 2020, three bicycles, all belonging to NHS staff, were reported to have been stolen from outside the hospital.

Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team carried out a number of enquiries into the allegations and soon afterwards, a 23 year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of having stolen the bicycles. He has since been released under investigation. 

Inspector Nick Lee from Dorset Police, commented: “We continue to support our NHS staff who are working tirelessly to treat those suffering from COVID-19 (coronavirus). 

“Our investigation into these thefts is ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to please contact us.”
