LEISURE: Strictly’s star siblings will be performing at Lighthouse in Poole

Stricty’s champion siblings, Kevin Clifton and Joanna Clifton are set to do battle at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts next month.

After seven series on Strictly Come Dancing, and winning the main show in 2018, Kevin Clifton left strictly to go on tour with his sell-out international dance show ‘Burn the Floor’. Now he’s ready to do it all over again with his sister, Joanna Clifton.

Kevin and Joanna Clifton are set to star together for the first time in ‘Burn the Floor’ on Friday 3 April, when they will be reigniting their childhood rivalry by performing an ‘Anything You Can Do…’ inspired theme.

Between them they have numerous competitive Ballroom and Latin dance accolades, including World Champion, British Champion, European Champion, and International Open titles. They have also both won the highly sought after Glitter Ball trophy from winning Strictly Come Dancing.

Burn The Floor is the show that ignited a spark in me and changed me forever as a performer,” says Kevin Clifton. “Through Broadway, West End and touring all over the world this show has ripped apart the rule book, revolutionised our genre and inspired and shaped me as the dancer I am today.

Joanne Clifton adds: “I’m not competitive or anything, but being a world champion, I have a natural nose for the win, especially against my brother Kev. He’s always done everything first – he was born first, started dancing first, got on Strictly first, joined the amazing Burn the Floor first… oh wait, but I won the Strictly glitterball first, didn’t I?
