Following the recent announcement that Beales stores across the country are set to close, Fred.Olsen Travel Agents, formerly operating from the Bournemouth Beales store, is reassuring customers that they will still be in operation.
The recent closure has been a disappointment to many in the local area, and for Fred.Olsen Travel Agents, it has meant redistributing staff to their other local branches.
Staff who were previously based in the Bournemouth store will now be working from the company’s branches in Christchurch and Westbourne. However, a weekly pop-up shop will be appearing in the Pavilion Terrace Cafe in Bournemouth from Friday 6 March 2020, from 1-4pm, allowing customers to discuss existing bookings and book new trips.
Paul Hardwick, Head of Commercial for the company, said: “We hope by retaining the staff and having an opportunity for Bournemouth customers to still book in a convenient location to them, even with the sad closure of the Beales department store, Fred. Olsen Travel will continue to thrive and grow in this fantastic town.”
