LOCAL NEWS: Police appeal for witnesses of collision Castle Lane West

Officers investigating a fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.

Between the hours of 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday 29 January 2020, a collision occurred involving a bicycle and a black Vauxhall Corsa on Castle Lane West- near Wimborne Road.

The cyclist, a local 14-year-old boy, attended hospital for treatment to a bruised ankle.

Police Constable Ryan Greenwell, of Bournemouth police, said: “The driver of the Vauxhall failed to stop at the scene and we have been carrying out a number of enquiries to identify them.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or captured the incident on dashcam footage, to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have information about the identity of the driver of the offending vehicle.”
