Only a few days into the window, rumours have been sparking of the departure and arrival of key stars, such as a switch between Ryan Fraser and Harry Wilson.
We’ve already seen Danny Drinkwater transferred from Chelsea to Aston Villa on loan, showing that moves are already being made behind the scenes, leading to specualtion among many Bournemouth fans. What changes will be made to Eddie Howe’s squad?
Players rumored out
Nathan Ake
The rumours surrounding the departure of injured defender Nathan Aké haven’t stopped in recent months with Manchester CIty, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal all being linked.
The 24-year-old defender is currently marketed between £30 – £40 million, even with his injury against title leaders Liverpool, on 7 December.
Previous rumours surrounding Manchester City’s interest in Aké seem to have faded as they now look to target Inter Milan defender, Milan Skrinia.
Tottenham’s scouts might be eying up Nathan Aké as a replacement for Jan Vertonghen, after a string of lacklustre performances from the centre back.
Arsenal’s injury to Calum Chambers has altered Mikel Arteta’s plans, forcing the club to search for a replacement defender.
Chelsea’s chances of signing Aké depend primarily on whether Marcos Alonso stays with the club, as the blues have the option to active a buy back clause, which will cost them £40 million.
Junior Stanislas
Watford aim to steal away Bournemouth forward Junior Stanislas.
The 30-year-old has only recently returned to the squad after a spell of hamstring and knee problems, causing 8 months of absence.
The player is valued at £4 million but for Bournemouth to sell their fan favourite to a rival, that are also fighting to secure themselves out of relegation is a risk.
Stanislas was signed for Bournemouth from Burnley in 2014 and has accumulated over 100 games for the club.
Players rumored in
Mason Holgate
Mason Holgate has drawn attention from a number of rival Premier League clubs in recent months, including Newcastle United and Sheffield United, according to The Athletic.
His ability to play as a centre-back as well as a right-back has highlighted him as an ideal signing for a number of teams.
The 23-year-old is unlikely to make the move as the Toffees already have a limited number of central defenders, and can’t afford to lose Holgate.
Bournemouth will hope to strengthen their back line after a string of poor results, with only 1 win in their previous 10 matches.
Tino Kadewere
Bournemouth and Southampton look to target the 23-year-old after he managed to amass 17 goals in 19 appearances this season.
According to the Daily Mail, both sides are keeping a watchful eye on the Ligue 2 star.
Kadewere has his sights set on a move to the premier league, patiently waiting to be approached this month.
The player valued at £10 million is most used in the central position but has the ability to switch anywhere across the midfield.
Ryan Fraser and Harry Wison swap
With Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser’s contract coming towards expiring, Bournemouth could be hoping to swap the 25-year-old with loaned Welsh international, Harry Wilson but time is running out for any such deal with Fraser’s contract expiring in the summer.
With Harry Wilson currently being valued at £22.5 million and Ryan Fraser being valued at £27 million, Bournemouth shouldn’t have to offer too much to secure the transfer.
if the deal is successful, both teams should benefit, with Ryan Fraser taking on a new challenge and Harry Wilson given the opportunity to continue to grow at Bournemouth.
