As a socially-minded businesswoman and long-standing activist on green and social issues, I passionately believe that Poole deserves better and the UK should stand as leaders in Europe and globally.
I stand to invest in our local services and fight to stop the downgrading of Poole Hospital. Conservative cuts to the NHS, schools, and policing have meant that our communities are suffering. I stand to reinvest in those services by putting a penny in the pound on income tax to invest in the NHS and social care, reversing cuts to school funding, and investing in a police force fit for the 21st century.
I stand to tackle the climate emergency head-on. The current MP for Poole has repeatedly voted against protecting the environment. I stand to tackle the climate crisis with concrete solutions and citizen engagement. This includes banning fracking, doubling renewable energy by 2030, and working tirelessly towards a net-zero carbon economy.
I believe in an economy that works for everyone. As a socially-minded businesswoman, I stand to support business in an economy that works for everyone. I stand to help local businesses with infrastructure and innovation investment, support entrepreneurs with financing solutions, and keeping our high streets busy with the right investment and reforming business rates. All the while supporting employees and their families.
I offer 20 years of experience to the role of MP from shop floors to working on economic and environmental policy at the European Parliament. I spent almost a decade in consulting before starting my own tech business. Local people tell me they’re fed up with an MP who doesn’t stand up for them. I’m ready to be the next MP for Poole and demand a brighter future.
