Which? are warning shoppers to be savvy with their spending this Black Friday as the prices may not be all they seem.
The company tracked the price of 83 different products for six months before and after Black Friday last year to find out if it was really worth the hype. The short answer is that it’s not.
95% of the products they tracked were available at the same price or cheaper in the 6 months after. Even more shockingly, 61% of the items had also been the same price or cheaper in the six months leading up to the day.
They found that only 4 of the 83 products were actually worth risking the Black Friday rush for.

How to make sure your deals are legitimate:
- Check the price of the item across different stores
- Use review apps to check the price history
- Try and find out the current RRP of the products
