LEISURE: Love Actually in Concert

A highlight of the holiday calendar is Love Actually In Concert at Lighthouse, Poole’s centre for the arts. A projection of this classic seasonal rom-com will be accompanied by a live orchestra on Saturday 30 November.

Originally released in 2003, Love Actually was directed by Robert Curtis. The story tells ten separate yet interweaving stories of love around Christmas time. It also features an all-star ensemble cast which includes Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, and many more.

The show is now on tour with a full orchestra performing Craig Armstrong’s evocative score live to picture. It was described as: ‘Funny, heart-wrenching and downright cheeky on occasion, in which the musicians all have their moments to shine and do not just provide the background noise.

Armstrong is one of the UK’s most recognised film composers. A BAFTA for Achievement in Film Music is being awarded to him.

This event is a unique way to watch the film that has been getting the nation into the holiday spirit for more than 15 years.
