Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision on Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.
Police were called to Holdenhurst Road just after 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.
This was the scene of a collision between a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a cyclist.
The cyclist is a 25-year-old man, he sustained serious head injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital; he is in a serious-yet-stable condition.
The driver is a local man in his 40s, he was uninjured.
Holdenhurst Road was closed whilst the scene was investigated, it was reopened at 8:30pm.
Inspector Joe Pardey, of the traffic unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or caught the incident on dash-cam to please contact Dorset Police.
“I appreciate the road closures caused delays and congestion in the area but I would like to thanks motorists for their patience and understanding.
“We closed the road to allow emergency services to provide vital medical care to the injured cyclist and for collision investigators to establish what happened.”
