There is now 15 weeks until the Bournemouth Marathon Festival and applications are still open.
The event takes place over the weekend of October 5 and 6.
For those who already run regularly it’s not too late to start training for this year’s marathon on Sunday October 6.
The race starts at 10am and entries cost £57.25 for unaffiliated runners and £55.25 if you are a member of a running club.
If you fancy a challenge but aren’t ready for the marathon just yet the half-marathon is on the same day and costs £36.75.
Shorter distance runners are catered for as well, with a 5k and a 10k taking place in the afternoon of October 5.
If you want a challenge you could run both a 5/10k and the marathon.
There are four events for under-18s, ranging from the kids’ kilometre to the junior 5k.
You can sign up to run any event for charity, this year’s official charities are Macmillan, Julia’s House, Cancer Research UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
