Stuck for something to do this month? The month of June promises to be an exciting one for BCP residents with loads of great events happening. Check our list to see the best of what’s on.

FlowerFest – 14 to 16 June

This will be the second year of Christchurch’s FlowerFest. The show will be supporting the local charity, Macmillan Caring Locally Brick by Brick Appeal. The aim is to fund a new unit in Christchurch Hospital so if you fancy a day out in the gardens, with the benefit of supporting a local cause, check out their website here.

Deep Dish Beach Series – 15 to 16 June

This beach volleyball series brings competition for all levels of player – from beginner to advanced. There will be two days of entry, one in Bournemouth and one in Sandbanks; entry costs £30 per team. There will be music all day as well as a barbecue. Harry Paye Day – 15 June

This day of family fun is all about celebrating the 600th anniversary of Poole’s most infamous pirate, Harry Paye. There will be fairground rides and carnival attractions. The event is set up to support three local charities: Youth Cancer Trust, Staffie and Stray Rescue and Dorset Children’s Foundation. For more information on this family-friendly day out, click here.

Beach Yoga Fest – 21 to 23 June

This is the UK’s only beach yoga festival and it’s coming to Bournemouth! It’s suitable for everyone so head down to the beach and meet some fellow yoga enthusiasts or just relax in the chill-out area after a class. Here is what’s happening on each day.

Dorset Moon – 28 to 30 June

Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon is a cool spherical sculpture of the moon made with NASA imagery at a scale of 1:500,000. The sculpture is a fusion of NASA imagery, moonlight and surround sound audio. The sounds of space are crafted by BAFTA-winner Dan Jones. Folk on the Quay – 29 June

This free music festival will see Poole Quay transformed into a waterside music venue complete with outdoor stages. The music starts at 11am, live acts start at 12 and finish at 9pm. Headline acts include 3 Daft Monkeys and the Gren Bartley Trio. There will even be over twenty teams of morris dancers. To find out the full line-up or more information click here.
