Join Poole’s Improvement District (BID) for a day of Easter activities this Saturday, 20 April from 10am until 4pm.
Activities on the day include face painting, arts and crafts, an Easter trail and children’s entertainers.
The Parkour Project, located in Poole’s The Project Climbing Centre, will have members showcasing their skills on the high street, using moveable obstacles and safety mats. Visitors will then have the opportunity to try slacklining later in the day – which is walking or balancing on a length of flat webbing suspended between two points.
Mid-way along the high street, opposite Paddy Power, Mad4Animals will be hosting its fun and educational show from 10am until 1pm. The interactive show will showcase different creatures, their habitats, and features hands-on sections.
Justin Hundley-Appleton, Poole BID manager, commented: “The BID is not only looking to increase footfall in the town, but also to increase dwell time. Providing activities and shows throughout the day means we have plenty to experience. Come rain or shine we’ll have something for everyone to enjoy.”
Families can also take part in an Easter egg trail, leading them throughout the town to collect answers in order to solve a puzzle, and win an Easter prize.
Morebus will be hosting a selection of Easter activities in one its buses, and Diamond Faces will be offering face painting for a £1 donation to charity.
