BH Living were cordially invited to attend the Royal Ball at The Pavilion, for this year’s pantomime and what a ball we had! Oh, yes we did!
In case you hadn’t guessed it by now, this year’s panto was the enduring and ever popular Cinderella but if you thought you’d seen and heard it all before, think again.
The show has it all – a great storyline with a few twists thrown in, a strong cast , impressive sets, flamboyant costumes, impeccable vocals and clean choreography, and of course, plenty of witty jokes.
Every year, whatever the pantomime, we enjoy getting sucked into the onstage shenanigans by @Noel Brodie who has great rapport with the audience and an uncanny knack for getting them involved and this year was no exception; in the role of Buttons he managed to get my son jumping off his chair with his 6_7 jokes and The Italian Brainrot song! (most parents of children under the age of 14 will know what I’m talking about, but if not a quick search on google will reveal all). The jokes weren’t just limited to the kids though, there were plenty of funny quips to get the grown ups laughing, or groaning.
Although Noel Brodie gets a big thumbs up from my son, the Bournemouth Pantomime always enjoys a stella cast with well know favourites like Melanie Walters as the fairy Godmother, Olivia Birchenough as Cinderella and Jack Wilcox as Prince Charming. And of course, Cinderella would not be Cinderella without the unforgettable ‘ugly’ sisters played ingeniously and somewhat mischievously by Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph.
If you are looking for some great family fun, that will get you in a good festive mood, Cinderella has to be on the to-do list this December. It plays at the Bournemouth Pavilion until Sunday the 4th of January. Check out the pavilion website for tickets and dates https://www.bournemouthpavilion.co.uk/events/cinderella-panto-2025
