A man was tragically killed along the Spur Road on Sunday morning when a petrol tanker collided with him.
On Sunday morning at 6:22am, a man was unfortunately hit by a petrol tanker. The accident occurred on the A338 northbound in between Blackwater and Ashley Heath, with the road closed by Police for several hours.
The man was walking along the side of the Spur Road, when he was struck by a petrol tanker travelling at speed. Emergency services pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene and began to investigate the area, the next of kin have been informed and the driver of the petrol tanker was unharmed.
