After recently announcing their decision to close for a month, Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts has updated its reopening date, pushing it back from 14 April to the end of May.

The decision brings the venue in line with recent government advice regarding the need for ‘social distancing’ and a 12-week isolation period for those most at risk from the disease. This was followed earlier this week by Boris Johnson’s announcement that only essential businesses, such as supermarkets, post offices and banks, may remain open for the next three weeks.

Lighthouse, Poole are in the process of cancelling or rescheduling as many events as possible that were due to take place over the next two months, but have warned “this may take a bit of time.” In the meantime, they have staff working from home, calling ticket holders to confirm rescheduled dates or provide refunds or credit where this isn’t possible. Ticket holders may also donate the cost of their ticket for cancelled events to help support Lighthouse, Poole, through this period.

For further information on the centre, please do not call, as phone lines are currently closed. Instead, you can visit their website here
