Join Cherry Tree Nursery in Bournemouth on 21 March 2020 as they celebrate their 30 year anniversary with a spring fair and sale.
Established in 1990, Cherry Tree Nursery is much more than a place to buy garden plants and trees. In our most recent issue, we reported on the amazing work Cherry Tree has done for those suffering severe and enduring mental health difficulties since it opened, supporting over 700 individuals in the past 30 years. To celebrate their 30th anniversary, the nursery team would like you to join them for a day of family fun, frolics and live music, with the added bonus of a plant sale.
For those looking to spruce up their garden this spring, many of the plants in 2 litre pots will be available at a reduced price. There’s a ‘Bargain Bench’, where most of the plants cost just £2. You can also choose from Cherry Tree’s wide selection of spring bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, herbs, climbers, fruit bushes, trees and larger plants.
Rod Bush, Darwins and Flooded Lane, will be providing live music throughout the day, and raffle tickets are available now, for the chance to win a £100 voucher for Cherry Tree Nursery, £40 vouchers for Hall & Woodhouse, vouchers for Knoll Gardens and more.
There will be an array of stalls selling homemade garden planters, an ‘Our Planet, Zero Waste’ stall for plastic-free shopping and a fairtrade stall. Nursery volunteers will be running stalls with Cherry Tree jams and preserves, knitting, books, and a plant tombola, where everyone’s a winner. Dorset Wildlife Trust and Dorset Children’s Foundation will also be there all day, raising money for some great causes.
Gary Onions will be sizzling up some fresh hot dogs and onions, and for those avoiding meat, Kara’s Supper Club will be selling delicious vegan mezze. You can also buy tea, coffee, and homemade cakes in the nursery tearoom.
