Following our publication of the ‘Lego Thief’ story back on 23 December 2019, Dorset Police have tracked down and charged a 37-year-old man from Battle in East Sussex and a 53-year-old woman from Hailsham in East Sussex.

Both have issued with postal requisitions to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 March 2020 for an offence of theft.

Police released CCTV images of a man suspected of stealing £400 worth of LEGO from a supermarket in Bournemouth.

At around 11pm on Monday 11 November, a man and woman entered the Tesco store in Riverside Avenue, before leaving the shop with a substantial amount of the Lego without paying for it.

It is thought that the same man may have been involved in a similar incident at the Smyths Toys store in Mallard Road on the same day, where again two people made off without paying for around £400-worth of stock.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Dorset Police, via their email or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55190178731. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
