With the end of the decade just around the corner, many of us see the new year as a chance to rid ourselves of bad habits and get a fresh start.
So we took to the streets of Christchurch to find out what the most popular resolution will be when the clock strikes midnight and 2020 begins!
“I have to say I think after Christmas I’m definitely going to need to loose weight in the New Year-which will mostly be what I put on from the Christmas dinner! – Jacob
A study by YouGov found that in 2019, exercising more was the most popular New Year’s Resolution across the UK!
“I have loads of New Year’s Resolutions but the major one is quitting smoking – it’s my fifth time in a row but it’s worth a go!” – Peter
“Next year I want to keep getting better. I was under the weather for three years and I’m just getting my health back, so next year I just want to keep getting better”.
“What do I want to change in 2020? Absolutely nothing! As long as I’m happy and healthy, like this year, I don’t want to change anything”.
“Next year I have to get my sleeping pattern sorted, especially the time of year it seems like I’m going to sleep really late and getting up really early so it would be good to fix that.”
So what are your New Years Resolutions for 2020?
