LEISURE: Santa’s post room opens at The Dolphin Centre

Families can enjoy festive crafts and write their letters to Santa at the Dolphin Shopping Centre every weekend in the run up to Christmas.

Children and their families will be able to enjoy a host of free activities between 11am and 4pm every Saturday and Sunday in the dedicated festive unit on the first floor opposite Wilko.

Santa’s elves will be there to provide a range of activities, including crafts, games and dressing up, as well as keeping up with their post office duties to make sure the children’s letters are sent to the North Pole in time. Following the crafting fun and games, children will have the opportunity to meet Santa himself ahead of him delivering presents on December 25.

John Grinnell, Dolphin Shopping Centre manager, said: “We are excited to welcome families and give them the chance to visit Santa in his post room at the Dolphin Shopping Centre. He is looking forward to hearing about what is on children’s Christmas wish lists.. His mischievous elves will also be on-hand to help children to make a range of Christmas crafts for them to take away and decorate their homes with.”

The shopping centre also has a tree of remembrance, where shoppers can hang a light in memory of their loved ones. The Dolphin Centre announced it’s dates for late night shopping last week.
