WHAT’S ON: The Christchurch Christmas Festival returns for another year

Join the festive fun at the Christchurch Christmas Festival on the 23 November at Saxon Square.

There will be a Christmas market running from 10am – 8pm which is offering an array of goods such as street food, family amusements, gifts, treasures and much more. Children will be kept entertained by the kids zone whilst adults can enjoy the return of the famous Alpine Bar under the Christmas Marquee.   

reindeer at christchurch christmas festivalLive music and dance will feature throughout the entire day, with real reindeer appearing in the square between 3pm and 7pm.

Wimborne Big Band 20 to 1 will be playing in the square as part of the town’s Christmas festivities from 2pm – 4pm. They will be playing a variety of numbers from current music to swing, and will also include some seasonal numbers to get everyone in the festive mood.

Whilst exploring what the festival has to offer, children can visit Santa’s grotto and post their letters in time for Christmas.

Santa’s Parade will begin at 5pm starting from the Priory Church and will be followed by Christmas lights switch on by Fred Dinenage and the Christchurch Mayor.   

The Christchurch Christmas festival is a community generated event, run by volunteers for the benefit of the community. The festival committee seek to raise funds to ensure it can be staged each year and are inviting new volunteers to support the family orientated annual event.
