LEISURE: Queen Victoria’s art work displayed in Poole Museum

Poole Museum is now the temporary home to a major art exhibition of watercolours.

The new exhibition showcases he private and public lives of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert throughout their marriage. The royal couple were know to be patrons and practitioners of watercolour painting and art by Queen Victoria herself are on display.

The Royal Collection lent by Her Majesty The Queen consists of nearly 70 pieces and is now open to visitors to view until 5 January 2020. Poole Museum is the only venue to host this exhibition in the South of the UK.

Alongside the new addition, the museum will host a series of events including a children’s Make and Take craft activity and a tour specifically designed for those with dementia.

Entry to the museum is free, although donations are encouraged.
