BUSINESS: Council offer free cyber security training for SMEs

BCP Council are offering free data management and cyber security training.

Dorset based small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) are being invited to participate in a trial test. The course aims to improve productivity using better data management and cyber security practices.

The council are looking for around 300 SMEs to take part. Those who complete the trial will be given the chance to win free specialist consultancy and Cyber Essential’s certification. Businesses that join the training will identify factors with impact productivity and business growth. The course will run until June 2020 and those who sign up early may win a chance to stay at Bournemouth Beach Lodges.  

Councillor Mark Howell, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Culture, said: “SMEs are a vital part of our economy and we are pleased to be offering this training.

“If you represent a small to medium sized business, within our thriving local economy, I encourage you to take part and support this innovative programme.’’
