Nathan Bryon will be visiting Bournemouth Gardens on Saturday 28 September to run a workshop for up to 40 talented young writers.

Nathan will lead a Saturday morning workshop session at Roundabout, the pop-up theatre in Bournemouth Gardens which will give 40 young writers the chance to pick up some tips from Nathan.

Actor-writer, Nathan Bryon is best known for his roles in ITV’s Benidorm and BBC’s Some Girls.

The workshop will run from 9-11am on 28th September in the mobile ‘Roundabout Theatre’ in The Gardens.

The young people attending the workshop are aged 11-18 and enrolled in the free Young Writers programme of workshops run by Lighthouse. They meet weekly at Lighthouse to explore a wide range of written art-forms from short story telling and creative non-fiction to script writing and performance poetry.

The courses are led by Tabitha Howard and Lucy Pearce.

Hundreds more locals to see theatre for free

Last year’s Big Christmas Appeal at Lighthouse will allow hundreds of additional people to enjoy live theatre with Dexter and Winter’s Detective Agency shows on Friday 27 September at 10am, Saturday 28 September at 11:30 and Sunday 29 September at 2:30pm.

On 27 September, around 150 young people from the Atlantic Academy, Portland; Oakdale Junior School and Bournemouth and Poole College will see Dexter and Winter’s Detective Agency at Roundabout for free.
