LEISURE: ‘Time to Talk’ transition to adulthood free Q & A

0

Poole’s SEND Leadership team will be hosting a free Q & A session on the transition to adulthood for parents and carers in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Parents and carers are invited to attend the next ‘Time to Talk’ Q & A session with Poole’s SEND Leadership team on Saturday 13th July at Henry Brown Youth Centre, Bournemouth.

The session will begin at 9:30am and will focus on the transition to adulthood for young people who have SEND. This will include mental capacity awareness, transition assessment and adult social care criteria.

Time to Talk offers parents, carers and young people an opportunity to share their experiences and ask questions. As a result, this helps to shape services in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Steve Clarke, Designated Clinical Officer of Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, and a representative from Adult Social Care will be at the event to answer any questions.

A complimentary crèche is available and there will be free activities for older children- booking is essential.

To book, call SEND Business Support Team on 01202 262009 or email sendbso@poole.gov.uk
