HEALTH: Crumbs launches new lunch club in Moordown

The Crumbs Project is growing the success of their existing outreach program by launching a new regular Community Lunch at the Life Centre in Bournemouth.

Crumbs, a charity since 1997, initially started to help those in long-stay care have a structure and pattern to their every day lives, gain a skill and have something to talk about, and later evolved to include all those with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and stabilised addictions.

They provide supported training services and work experience, where the mixed ability trainees deliver regular lunch clubs at venues across Bournemouth.

Now they are launching a new club at the Life Centre on Wimborne Road in Moordown where diners are invited to enjoy a two-course meal prepared and served by the trainees on the first Monday of every month from 12.30pm for only £5 per person.

Crumbs’ Lunch Clubs themselves aim to prevent social isolation in the community by bringing people together, enjoying friendly company and a delicious homecooked meal.
