Haskins Garden Centres hopes its new Garden Gang Facebook page will get children outside and involved in gardening.

The leading garden centre group has created the Garden Gang page to provide parents with regular updates suitable for children, such as how to encourage wildlife into the garden, an array of fun and educational worksheets, sowing seeds and a selection of gardening games.

Lisa Looker, brad director at Haskins, commented: “Family is rooted into our core here at Haskins so we feel we have a responsibility to help parents encourage their children to get involved in gardening.

“With Easter holidays upon us, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the fun that gardens hold for kids. Gardening is a great family activity and the Garden Gang section of our website in addition to our new Facebook page, will help provide parents with free gardening projects and activities for their little ones.”

The Facebook page was launched to develop its child-friendly offering after the success of the Garden Gang section of the Haskins website which was launched in 2016.
