AFC Bournemouth has chosen Gully’s Place at Poole Hospital as one of its four charity partners for the 2018/19 season. The partnership was unveiled to club supporters at a recent training session for Junior Cherries.
The other charity partners are Bournemouth Foodbank, Dorset Mental Health Forum and The Crumbs Project.
The club will support the charity in several ways, including signed merchandise and profile-raising player appearances.
Gully’s Place supports life-limited children and their families by providing specially trained staff and a purpose-designed space that includes overnight accommodation for families. The charity’s aim is to help make being in hospital as relaxing and calm as possible, during one of the most difficult times a family can face.
Present at the unveiling were Sara Fripp, corporate fundraiser for Poole Hospital Charity, volunteers Annie McGrath and Brenda Grove, and Erin Phillips, whose brother Jimmy was cared for in Gully’s Place suite.
