Bournemouth & Poole College recently held its annual CGI Graduate Expo, giving students the chance to have their work seen by industry experts.
The event featured modelling, animation and architectural work created by over 40 students from both the foundation, and bachelor of science, 3D computer generated imagery (CGI) degrees. Themes of the projects on show included early aviation, poetry by Edward Lear, and the Royal Signals Museum.
Phil Easton, director of Western Digital Architects, has worked with the College for the last ten years, hosting workshops and giving advice to students on their final projects. He opened the show, which was well-attended by representatives from companies including Nautilus International, Pixelflakes, Uniform, and Focus Studio.
A testament to the success of the event, all BSc degree students were offered interviews for full-time work, and over half of the foundation degree students were offered interviews for work placements.
