A free event in Boscombe is set to mark World Book Day 2026
On Saturday 7th March from 11am to 3pm Boscombe will be celebrating World Book Day in partnership with Bournemouth Coastal BID. The event is set to take place inside the Sovereign Centre and Creative Kids studios.
The day will kick off at 11am – 12pm with live storytelling on the bandstand located in the middle of the shopping centre.
Following this Creative Kids will be hosting two activities in their spaces with a podcasting workshop in Unit 4 alongside various craft workshops going on next door in Unit 5.
The day will conclude with an amazing display of colour at the costume catwalk fashion show from 2pm-3pm!
They invite all to participate and show off their favourite characters, be it Harry Potter, Willy Wonka, or the Cat in the Hat.
Photo opportunities will not go unmissed as there will also be a Matilda inspired photo booth available throughout the day provided by Creative Kids.
Within this event the academic benefit from creating a positive atmosphere surrounding education is a real incentive for us to make this event as enjoyable as possible.
