Dorset HealthCare are encouraging parents to get their children vaccinated following a steep rise in cases of the flu.
The vaccine will typically be a quick and painless nasal spray. For children unable to have this, an injection is available.
Rachel Such, matron for Dorset HealthCare’s vaccination service says, “It’s the best protection to shield your child from getting seriously ill.”
The flu vaccination is offered in schools and at a selection of community venues, ensuring all children receive the protection they need but parents must make sure they have given consent.
