Dorset’s Lord Lieutenant has encouraged local businesses to apply for the 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise.
Businesses across Dorset have been invited to submit applications for this prestigious award. The King’s Awards for Enterprise recognises UK businesses outstanding achievements across a series of categories. These include; innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Winning businesses are celebrated at a Royal reception and presented with a trophy and Grant of Appointment by the King’s representative, Dorset Lord Lieutenant, Michael Dooley.
If your business is recognised by this reputable award, you are then allowed to fly the King’s Awards flag at the main office, and use the emblem on marketing materials. The award remains valid for five years.
Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, Michael Dooley, said: “There are a significant number of fantastic businesses across Dorset doing incredible work and I’d encourage any organisation to review the application process and consider entering. There are strong examples of the award categories in all sectors performing at excellent levels in our county and it would be phenomenal to have them recognised at this level.”
