Police are looking for the publics help after a man was attacked whilst  pushing his young child in a pushchair.

The attack happened on Thursday 21 October, at 7:45pm, when the dad, in his 30s, was walking his dog on Princess Road at the junction of Silver Birch Close and pushing his young child in a pushchair when they were overtaken from behind by an unknown man who then suddenly punched the father twice in the face before walking away in the direction of Branksome.

The child and dog were completely fine but the father was left with a couple of injuries to his eye and mouth from the sudden attack. It is not currently known who the attacker was but he has been described as white and of possible Polish or Romanian descent, seemed around six feet tall with a stocky build, short shaved dark hair and stubble. The man was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt with a dark-coloured tribal pattern on the top and down one side and dark-coloured jeans.

Police are working on identifying the man and are hoping to hear from anyone who may have seen the attack or recognises the man from the description.
