Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to share any information following a fail-to-stop incident in Poole, on the 13th June.

At around 12pm on Friday 13th June, during a routine speed check in Lower Blandford Road, an officer witnessed a blue Ford Puma narrowly avoid colliding with a cyclist. He was driving over the speed limit as he overtook the cyclist.

The officer moved into the carriageway to request the vehicle to stop, but the car continued on its way.

Police Constable Steve Hall, of Dorset Police said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am keen to speak to anyone in the area who saw what happened.

“If you were driving along Lower Blandford Road around the relevant time with a dashcam, I would ask you to please check your footage for anything that may assist my investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250084677. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
