An investigation by Dorset Police after a fail-to-stop collision in Christchurch has resulted in an arrest being made.
Dorset Police were called at around 7.30pm on Tuesday 10 June 2025 after reports of a collision occurring which involved a pedestrian and an electric motorbike in Fairmile Road.
The rider of the motorbike failed to stop at the scene.
The pedestrian, a seven-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
Following enquiries, a 17-year-old boy from Christchurch has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our investigation is ongoing and we would still urge anyone with information to please get in touch.
“Also, if you have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, we would ask you to please come forward.”
