LOCAL NEWS: Police ask public to respect privacy of families of victim and accused

Following the death of local woman Claire Parry and the arrest of Police Constable Timothy Brehmer on Sunday 10 May 2020, Dorset Police have issued a plea for privacy on behalf of the affected families. 

After news broke about the incident, which took place at the Horns Inn in West Parley on Saturday 9 May 2020, the families of both the victim and the accused have been inundated with communication from from various sources.

While many of these attempts to contact those affected are likely to be well-meaning, the police have asked that the public respect their privacy as they grieve, and not disturb them during this sad time.

  1. We will only respect the privacy of victim’s family not the so called “accused”, who obviously took Claire’s life. If the law is real, he should get a minimum of 40 years in prison, considering the victim was only 41, it is highly likely that she was to live to the age of 80 years, even older.
