BCP Council have warned drivers that the A338 will be closing overnight from 9pm to 6am on Sunday 22 March until Saturday 28 March 2020.
The council have confirmed the work is not related to the current improvements to the B3073 Blackwater Junction, but will provide an opportunity to ‘undertake essential overnight maintenance, gully clearing, sweeping and litter picking’.
The combination of mobile traffic management and static lane closures will affect both sides of the carriageway on the A338 between Blackwater Junction and Ashley Heath, where a 50mph speed limit will be enforced to protect the safety of the workers.
