The Destination Awards are inviting people to share their best photograph of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
What are the Destination Awards?
The Destination Awards aim to celebrate excellence in businesses that make the area a great place to visit, live and work. Created by the Destination Management Board it is an opportunity to unite individuals and businesses from across the community. The Night of a Thousand Memories final will take place at the BIC in Bournemouth on March 19.
The photography competition…
The Destination Management Board wants photographs featuring people of any age enjoying the local area. Following this, winning entries from the photographic competition will provide a backdrop to the glittering Night of a Thousand Memories.
David Bailey, Chair of the Destination Management Board, said: “The Destination Awards celebrate the very best of our area. We believe there is no better backdrop for our awards ceremony than a sea of amazing local images.”
The winner will then have their photograph exhibited at Gallery 65 in Westbourne and also win two tickets to the Destination Awards Final in March. Additionally, two runners-up will win an afternoon tea at Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth. Rebecca Blain and Andrew Hawkins own Gallery 65 and features the work of local, national and international artists. Rebecca said: “We were very impressed to hear that the Destination Awards are inviting people to show off their creative talents in this way.
“We very much look forward to hosting the winning image and welcoming people to come in and see it.”
Paul Collins, Head of Visual at Deep South Media will judge the Destination Awards Photo Competition.
- The closing date for entries is 4pm on February 28, 2020.

- Entrants must be able to provide the original, high resolution version of their pictures in jpeg format if they are chosen as a winner.
