According to GOV UK, the number of people taking on apprenticeships fell in 2018/19 compared to 2017/18, with 72,400 fewer people choosing this path. For this reason, many companies offering apprenticeships are keen to highlight the advantages and offer advice to those who may be considering one.

Those interested in finding out more about becoming an apprentice, can attend the event on Tuesday 4th February from 4-7pm at the Vitality Stadium. There is opportunity to meet with employers from a range of different sectors, as well as offering interactive workshops on topics such as ‘how to apply for an apprenticeship’ and ‘how to write a CV’. Local companies such as Dorset Healthcare, Simone Thomas and Cuddles Day Nursery will also be in attendance of the event.

Matt Butcher, commercial director of Bournemouth %  Poole College, said: ‘As the largest provider of apprenticeships in the area, we are passionate about promoting the benefits and providing information on how to learn while you earn.’
