WHAT’S ON: BCP Council look for Members for Youth Parliament

The BCP Council are looking for young people, aged between 11-17 to act as a champion for young people.

Anyone who lives or goes to a school within the BCP area can stand to be a Member of Youth Parliament and also have the right to vote.

Workshops are running during January for young people to find out more about the role. Elections take place in February with the term of office starting 1 March.

Members of Youth Parliament (MYP) meet with MPs and local councillors, organise events, run campaigns, make speeches, hold debates and ensure the views of young people are listened to by decision makers. Elections take place in February with the term of office starting 1 March.

Any young person age 11-17, who lives or goes to school within the BCP area, can stand to be an MYP and also have the right to vote.
