Businesses trying to improve their cyber security and data management, could get free Cyber Training with Cyber Well next year.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council recently announced that next year, they will be giving individuals around Dorset the opportunity to improve their cyber security awareness.

Cyber Well is a new project aiming to help Dorset businesses improve their cyber security.

One place is available per organisation and it can be filled by anyone from any department in a small or medium-sized business (SMEs).

By signing up now, people can guarantee themselves a place when the project officially begins in February next year.

The Council is currently looking for 300 SMEs to take part in its Cyber Interventions programme which will test a new innovative eLearning tool.

SMEs who complete the trial will also have the chance to win free specialist consultancy and Cyber Essential’s certification.

The trial will run until June 2020 and those businesses which sign up early will have a chance to win a 3 or 4 night stay at the iconic Bournemouth Beach Lodges.

Councillor Mark Howell, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Culture, said: “SMEs are a vital part of our economy and we are pleased to be offering this training not just to businesses within the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area, but to SMEs from across the wider Dorset business community.
