LEISURE: Festive carol services to be held across Bournemouth this Christmas

There will be no such thing as a silent night in Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole this Christmas with Carol Concerts being held across the region.

Where can I watch a concert?

West Howe Library:

West Howe Library will be hosting a service on Friday 13th December from 10.30 until 11.15am.

Heathlands School Choir and Miss Annie Christopher will be singing. They will be providing free light refreshments after the carols. 

 

Henry Brown Centre:

The youth centre’s service will be held on Tuesday 17 December at 6pm, followed by homemade soup and a roll. 

Organised by Jeff and the Moore Avenue Park Community Group, the Salvation Army band will join the festivities.

 

Eugene Birchall / Bournemouth: Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom

The Bournemouth Pavilion Centre:

Over 500 school children will take to the stage as part of this years Bournemouth Schools Music Association Annual Carol Festival.

The concert has been running for more than 70 years and is conducted this year by international conductor, Lin Marsh. Buy tickets here.

Wimborne Minster:

Diverse Abilities carol concert will be held on Wednesday 18th December at 6.00pm

The evening will be a Christmassy celebration with celebrity appearances, music and traditional Christmas carols.

St Peter’s Church, Bournemouth;

Bournemouth University Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra are holding their Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on December 12th at 6pm.

The event is free to attend and there’s no need to book.
